OBLIGATIONS

In case of circumstances that can not be controlled by Shipzip, Shipzip can not be held liable for not being able to provide the services promised, a delay on shipments, or a loss or damage of shipments.

For international shipments, if an air transportation is used where the parcel has landed or made a stop on any other country other than the origin, the Warsaw Convention or the Montreal Convention will be in effect.

The responsibilities of Shipzip will be limited to the rules and conditions outlines on these convention agreements. Also the claim processing times will also adhere to these agreements.

You may purchase additional insurance for loss or damage coverage. In order to do so, please confirm that you accept additional insurance charges before you place your shipping order on www.shipzip.com or through our Customer Service line.

The above mentioned shipment insurance does not cover the cases where the loss or damage has occurred by your negligence or any incidence happened after you received the package in good condition.

For high value shipments, you can also purchase additional insurance. If you have not purchased additional insurance, the loss of or damage to your high value shipments will be at your own risk and Shipzip will not be held responsible for the loss of or damage to your high value shipments.

For all of these conditions but not limited to:

  • The unforseenable and uncontrollable events
  • Acts of God (earthquake, snow, storm, fog)
  • War, accident, embargo, strike, local or civil events that cause traffic or obstructed transportation or FORCE MAJEURE events,
  • The damage that is inside the shipment before it is transffered to Shipzip's possession
  • The third party theft that occurred when the shipment is not in ShipZip's control
  • ShipZip can not be held liable for any damage or loss of shipments containing prohibited materials even if the shipment is accepted by mistake.

 

CUSTOMS

The shipper accepts to authorize ShipZip as the customs broker if the shipment is held at customs. ShipZip can perform the customs clearance within the company or can assign a third party custom broker to perform custom clearance. It's the shipper's responsibility to provide all of the necessary documentation to ShipZip during and after the customs clearance process.

It's the shipper's responsibility to provide all of the necessary documentation required for customs clearance. Any false information submitted to customs will be the sole responsibility of the shipper and shipper accepts all the charges of that could arise because of any false information submitted to customs.

ShipZip assists the shipper for customs clearance process but any cost, loss, delay or any other request of customs is the sole responsibility of the shipper.

Shipper agrees to pay for any court fees or legal fees or any other damage to Shipzip in case an unlawful event occurs because of the documentation submitted to customs on shippers behalf.

Shipper accepts to pay for any cost associated with the parcels customs clearance even if the fees are paid by ShipZip. Shipper accepts all charges that might occur because of a delay in providing the necessary documentation by the shipper or receiver, any late fees and customs charges, storage charges. tax or any other legal fees paid for the customs clearance of the shipment. Other than the shipping charges, Shipper accepts to pay for these charges to Shipzip if ShipZip pays for these charges on shippers behalf.

ShipZip can not be held liable for any loss or damage or delay caused by the customs officials or any government official.

ShipZip never accepts to pay for any unlawful payment on your behalf.
